Cookie notice
Startup Staffing does not use analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking cookies, and our own application code sets no cookies at all. Two strictly necessary cookies are set by the infrastructure that serves and protects this website, and both are named and explained below. Because there are no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click through.

What we do and do not set
- Our own application code does not create any cookies. We do not set anything to identify, profile or follow you.
- No analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no product analytics client and no visitor-measurement script of any kind on this website.
- No advertising, retargeting or social media tracking pixels.
- No third-party profiling or cross-site tracking. The pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or images — everything is served from this domain.
- Two cookies are set by our infrastructure, not by our code: the bot-protection cookie __cf_bm and the hosting deployment cookie __dpl. Both are listed in full in the next section, and they are the only cookies this website sets.
The two cookies, in full
Two things here can look like a contradiction, so it is worth separating them. Our application — the pages, the forms and the planning tools — sets no cookies. The infrastructure that serves and protects those pages sets two, before our code runs. We do not choose them, we do not read them and we do not use them for analytics or marketing.
__cf_bm — bot protection
- Name: __cf_bm. Set by Cloudflare, the content-delivery and security layer in front of this website.
- Purpose: strictly necessary security. It helps distinguish real visitors from automated traffic.
- Duration: around 30 minutes from your last request.
- Scope: this website and its subdomains, path /. Sent over HTTPS only (Secure) and marked HttpOnly, so no script — including ours — can read it.
- Not used by Startup Staffing for analytics, measurement, profiling or advertising.
__dpl — hosting deployment
- Name: __dpl. Set by the hosting platform that serves this website, on the server side.
- Purpose: strictly necessary hosting. It corresponds to the deployment identifier of the version of the site being served, so requests are answered consistently by one deployment.
- Duration: 24 hours, renewed when you navigate to a new page on the site.
- Scope: this website only (host-only, path /). Sent over HTTPS only (Secure) and not sent on cross-site requests (SameSite=Lax). It is not marked HttpOnly, so scripts on this domain could read it — none of ours do.
- Not used by Startup Staffing for analytics, measurement, profiling or advertising, and never combined with anything you send us through a form.
- When we tested it, we found no visitor-specific identifier in its value.
That is the complete list. If a cookie ever appears on this site that is not named here, it is an error in this notice — email us and we will check it and correct the page.
Strictly necessary technology
When you submit the enquiry form, our hosting and backend providers process the request so we can receive it, and we store a scrambled (keyed hash) version of the network address used, plus the browser user-agent string your browser sends, so that the form cannot be abused by automated spam. This is not used to identify or track you across websites, and it is not shared for marketing.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary technology of this kind does not require consent. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
Saving your work in your own browser
The hiring brief builder and the interview process builder save your unfinished draft in your browser’s local storage so you can come back to it. This is local storage rather than a cookie: the draft never leaves your device unless you deliberately send it to us or share a link, it is not readable by us, and clearing your browser data removes it. Both tools also give you a way to clear the draft yourself.
The interview process builder has one optional feature that works differently: if you choose to paste a job description into the draft writer, that text is sent for processing so a suggested draft can be written back to your browser. That is described in full in our privacy notice.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Because we do not rely on non-essential cookies, doing so will not affect your use of this website.
